Boys 4x4 Competition Team

AAU realized the problem gyms were having that boys classes did not have the numbers girls classes had and the equipment was prohibitively expensive because of it. To help make boys gymnastics more accessible 4x4 was created. Taking women’s equipment they modified the men’s floor, vault, pommel horse, and bar to work with what they had. Boys who compete 4x4 are scored on a floor routine, a vault, a single rail bar routine, circling on the floor, and flairs on the beam.

Boys practice approximately 3 hours a week and cost is $180 a month for 10 months or $1620
